Workshops

People of all ages and abilities are welcome!

You can make whatever you want (within the realms of practicality!) so feel free to bring your own ideas. If you're not sure what to make, there are many simple and exciting projects to get you started such as a leaf plate, animal teapot, plates, bowls and cups. Sometimes it's fun to just explore the clay and see what ideas emerge!

A brief introduction to basic pottery techniques such as slip-and-score, coil, pinch, and slab gives plenty of scope for imagination.

You will also have the opportunity to have a go on the pottery wheel if you choose.

The sessions are fun and relaxed, allowing each person to work at their own pace. During the session we will also talk about where clay comes from, how it was formed and the processes of firing and glazing.

Workshop PRICES

Each session lasts one hour and costs £12 per person. If you would like to have your work fired it will be weighed and a charge of £10 per kg applied.

An example would be an adults cup, which would cost approximately £5, a child's cup a little less.
